    • Viola Szymanski went home to her Lord March 9, 2014. Viola was born on Oct. 29, 1930, to the late Reinhold and Anita Zarling in Gillett, Wis. On August 28, 1948, she married Anthony Szymanski. She spent many years as a homemaker and later went on to work for Elliott Glove Company. Viola was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Gillett. She had many hobbies such as fishing, sweepstakes, crafts, cooking, listening to polka music and sometimes playing the button box. Of course none compared to the time she enjoyed spending with her family and especially the grandchildren.

      Viola is survived by two daughters, Suzanne Klipstein (Suring), Linda McGraw (Gillett); two sons, Wayne Szymanski (Oconto Falls), and Mike Szymanski (Suring); ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She is further survived by three sisters, Dorothy Francois (Dunbar), Arlene Mitchell (Oconto Falls), and Caroline Wians (Shawano); one brother Lonney Zarling (Brillion).

      She is preceded in death by her husband, Anthony Szymanski; a sister, Grace Sutrick; two daughters, Diane Roush and Debbie Paholke; two sons, Myron Szymanski and Rick Szymanski; one granddaughter Marcia Leigh Speller; and three brother-in-laws Joe Mitchell, Lowell Wians, and Ed Sutrick.

      Interment in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery
