Mrs. Herman Hopp died last Saturday evening at St. Joseph's hospital from the results of illness brought on by influenza. She had been sick for two weeks, her condition gradually became worse until death relieved her suffering. She was a woman loved and respected by family and friends alike, and her death casts a heavy gloom over those who had learned to know her.
Deceased was born in Peshtigo township in 1872 where she grew to womanhood. She was united in marriage to Herman Hopp at Grover, Wisconsin in 1892, making their home in Brillion for two years thence moving to this city since which time they have resided on East 4th street. Besides her husband she is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Weiting, Sr. of Marinette; two sisters, Mrs. Herman Brown of Marinette and Mrs. William Wagner of Peshtigo; and four brothers, Fred Weiting of Milwaukee and Anton, Carl Jr. and Martin Weiting of Colman. Funeral services were held yesterday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock from St. Paul's Evangelical church, Rev. Andreas in charge. Interment was made at Hillside cemetery.
