- Iron River Reporter May 5 1939 Mother Of Two Children Dies: Mrs. Myrtle Sunn Greenwood, 37, To Be Buried Here Tomorrow
Funeral rites will be held here tomorrow afternoon at 2 p.m. for Mrs. Myrtle Sunn Greenwood, 37, former resident of Iron River who died at a Milwaukee hospital following an operation Wednesday afternoon.
The body arrived on the Chippewa last night and was brought to the F.X. Buchanan funeral home. The services will be held from the funeral home, corner of Cayuga and Fourth avenue.
Miss Minnie S. Nelson, pastor of the Iron River Baptist church, will be in charge of the funeral service. Burial will be in Resthaven cemetery.
Mrs. Greenwood had been in ill health for one year. She entered the hospital last weekend for observation.
She leaves two children, Joyce and Jack. Other survivors are her husband from whom she was separated 13 years ago, and two sisters, Mrs. Hazel Otterness of Milwaukee and Mrs. Stanley, Iron River, and two brothers, Melvin Sunn of West Allis and Floyd Sunn of Iron River.
Mrs. Greenwood was born in Iron River January 18, 1902. She attended Iron River schools and was graduated from the high school.
