    • Mrs. Vera E. Ver Hagen, 53, of 4344 McClure, Gurnee, Ill. died Saturday, May 31, 1975 at Lake Forest Hospital following a lengthy illness.

      Mrs. Ver Hagen was born Nov. 11, 1921, in Chili, Clark County, Wis., and had farmed from 1948 1957 in the Willard area, when she moved to Waukegan, Ill. She had made her home in Gurnee for the past five years.

      She was a member of St. Gilbert Catholic Church, Grayslake, Ill. and was employed with Barrett-Cravens Corp., Northbrook, for the past eight years.

      Funeral services were held June 2, at 11 a.m. at St. Gilbert Catholic Church, Grayslake, with the Rev. James E. Merold, Associate Pastor, officiating. Interment was in Ascension Cemetery, Libertyville.

      Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Ronald (Bonnie) Kitzhaber of Greenwood, Mrs. Howard (Virginia) Opal of Waukegan, and Mrs. Paul (Cheryl ) Gaudish of Mundelein two sons, Eugene Ver Hagen of Antioch and Gary Ver Hagen of Waukegan two sisters, Fern Cowen of Caledonia, Wis. and Charlotte Comptom of Daleville, Ala. three brothers, Harold Steltenpohl of Wisconsin Rapids, Elmer Steltenpohl of Neillsville, and Fred Steltenpohl of Racine, and 17 grandchildren.

      She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard G. Ver Hagen, April 1, 1965, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Steltenpohl, and by one brother.
