    • Gloria Marcia Vande Voort, 87, Green Bay, was greeted by the angels in heaven with her children at her side on Friday, August 1, 2014 at her home. Gloria was born January 21, 1927 in Shawano, WI the daughter of the late August and Edith (Schenk) Soyck, the youngest of eight children.

      She married Douglas Vande Voort on June 15, 1946. Together they raised four children, Jean (Bob) Rottier, Jo (Gene) Hilpert, John (Deb) Vande Voort, and Janette (Larry) Schott. She was blessed with eleven grandchildren, Dustin (Tracie) Rottier, Rachel (Will) Soderdahl, Stephanie Rottier, Mitchell (Kari) Rottier, Michael Hilpert, Patricia Hilpert, Douglas Vande Voort, Joseph (Becky) Vande Voort, Deena Vande Voort, Renee (Jeremy) Schott, and Lance (Dani) Schott and six great-grandchildren.

      Her kids and grandkids were the love of her life. Gloria's many hobbies included crafting, card-making, cake decorating. She was a fantastic baker who enjoyed treating her family and neighborhood kids to homemade bread, cakes, cookies and the best pies.

      Gloria was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Doug in 1998; one infant son, Michael John in 1950, one daughter, Jean Marie in 2014, and her four brothers and three sisters.

      Visitation at Nativity Parish Chapel, Green Bay from 4:00 P.M. Wednesday until the time of the Funeral Mass at 7:00 P.M. in the church proper, with the Rev. Bob Rank officiating.
