    • Wilma Catherine (Sipes) Vandenplas, 91, passed away on Friday, March 10, 2017 following a short illness. She was born on September 6, 1925 to Hobart E. and Mollie E. (Guyer) Sipes in Forbes, Missouri.

      Wilma was a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend. She was a free spirit who enjoyed fishing, camping, playing cards, dancing, and gambling.

      Wilma is survived by her three children, Sherrie Joleen Dawson, Charles Henry Dawson III (Mary), and Pamela Elaine Dawson; five grandchildren, Cameo Guerrero (David), Brandi Theeke (Kurt), Carter Dawson (Tina), Kerry Dawson (Tim Langenohl), and Bevin Dawson (Anna); nine great-grandchildren, Caitlin Guerrero, Alex Guerrero, Hailey Dawson, Casey Dawson, Ethan Dawson, two sets of twins - Breck and Jude Dawson, Aela and Lennin Dawson; brother, Melvin Sipes; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

      She was preceded in death by her husband, Merlin Vandenplas; her parents; brothers, William (Marcelle) Sipes, Galen Sipes, Donald "Buster" Sipes, Elwin Sipes; sister, Geneva Lincoln; grandson, Bronson Levi Paschke; and stepdaughter, Diane Vandenplas.

      Friends may call at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., from 10 a.m. to 12 noon Saturday. The Funeral Service will be held at 12 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Rev.
