    • John Sendzik, 85, Green Bay, died Tuesday, March 14, 2000 at a local nursing
      home. He was born September 16, 1914 in Scranton, Penn. to the late Charles
      and Valeria (Krajewska) Sendzik. On May 30, 1942 he married Irene Gorka in
      Chicago. She preceded him in death November 16, 1975. On February 10,
      1978 he married Doreen Van De Hei. John was employed as a mechanic for Cliff
      Wall Motor Sales for 28 years until his retirement in 1976. He was a member of
      St. Jude Parish. Survivors include his wife, Doreen; four children and their
      spouses, Robert and Linda Sendzik, Clifford and Patricia Sendzik, Leonard
      Sendzik, Diane and Edward Erickson, all of Green Bay; one grandchild, Lori
      Sendzik, West Bend; one step-grandson, Kevin Erickson, Green Bay; two
      sisters, Margaret Karpluk, Wausau; Sophie Sicklinger, Marathon, Wis.; his nine
      step children and their spouses, Eleanor and Thomas De Groot, Green Bay;
      Joanne and James Calmes, De Pere; Bonnie Van De Hei, Lois Van De Hei,
      Helen and Ronald Hietpas, all of Green Bay; Melvin and Blanca Van De Hei,
      Streamwood, Ill.; Steven and Linda Van De Hei, De Pere; Mary Haupt and her
      special friend, Rick Humphreys, Elaine and Fred De Groot, all of Green Bay;
      nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Irene; three
      brothers, Joseph, Anthony, and Frank Sendzik; and one sister, Helen Castellion.
      Friends may call at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., from 4 to 8 p.m.
      Friday. The Parish Wake Service will be at 7:30 p.m. Friday. Friends may also
      call at St. Jude Catholic Church from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday. The Mass of
      Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church with the Rev. Ron
      Belitz officiating. Burial will be in Fort Howard Memorial Park.

      Hospice and Western Village Health and Rehabilitation for their excellent
      care and concern for their Dad.
