    • Margaret “Peg” A. Sol, age 77 of Menomonie, passed away quietly in her sleep on Sunday May 24, 2015 at The Neighbors of Dunn County in Menomonie.

      Peg was born Margaret Ann Sol on May 23, 1938 to Lawrence and Maxine (Thibado) Ryder in Dunn County, Wisconsin. Peg married Robert N. Sol on August 16, 1955 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Menomonie, and had two sons. Together they farmed in rural Dunn County until 1992 at which time they retired. Peg enjoyed spending time with her family and her beloved dog, Jasmine.

      Peg is survived her two sons, Michael (Sarah) of Cameron, Gary (Darcy) of Menomonie; five grandchildren, Beth (Greg) Stai, Jeremy Sol, Casey Sol, Nathan (Jen) Sol and Andy Sol; four great grandchildren, Mitchell and Mikayla Stai and Nathan and Charlie Sol; two sisters, Betty (Jim) Hendrickson of Menomonie, Kathleen (Bill) Hanson of the Twin Cities, MN, a brother, John (Cecil) Ryder of Milwaukee, many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

      She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert, grandson Joshua Sol, and a sister, Judith Schneider.

      In lieu of flowers, memorial are preferred to the Dunn County Humane Society.

      Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Thursday May 28, 2015 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Menomonie with Rev. Joseph Hennen officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

      Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church on Thursday.
