  • Notes
    • Lorena C. (Raycher) Benzschawel, 79, of Stanley died on April 10th
following a long illness of dementia.
She was born on December 7, 1939 to the late Joseph and Lorena
(Koepl) Raycher and grew up in a loving family that resided in the
Township of Wilson. She often shared memories of growing up on
the farm and her family’s involvement at St. Peter’s Catholic
Church. Lorena’s life after high school allowed to her to move all
over the United States and travel the world before she settled with
her family in Madison, WI. After her youngest child graduated from
high school she moved to Boyd and eventually Chippewa Falls.
Lorena loved children and those in ailing health and worked in the
child care and health care fields. She loved seeing an underdog
succeed. Lorena was a loving mother and kind friend.

Lorena is survived by her children, Lana Litzkow of Nashotah, WI,
Roger (Beth) Benzschawel of Green Bay, and Lisa (Paul) Howard
of Springfield, Virginia and, 4 grandchildren and 5 great
grandchildren and one brother, Joseph Raycher of Eau Claire, as
well as numerous nephews and nieces. She is preceded in death
by her parents, two brothers, Donald and James Raycher.

Lorena’s children would like to thank the staff at Country Terrace
for their kindness and care over the past three years, as well as the
Hospice team that supported her needs over the past few months.

Internment service will take place at 10:30AM at St. Peter's Catholic
Cemetery-Wilson on July 27, 2019 followed by a luncheon at the
family cabin, “The Gathering Place” in Wilson. If you can; bring your
      own lawn chair.
