    • Mary Jane T. Katers, 96, of Green Bay died Friday, January 20, 2017. She was born June 15, 1920 in Green Bay to Floyd and Alvina (Fournier) Lemerond.

      On August 2, 1947 Mary Jane married Norbert Katers at St. Francis Xavier Cathedral. He preceded her in death in 1990. She loved to bake breads, pies, and all kinds of desserts. Mary Jane enjoyed sewing, making clothes, gardening, and canning, traveling and taking trips from Nativity Catholic Church.

      She is survived by her children; Kathryn Katers, Green Bay, Susan Katers, Green Bay, Lynn Katers, De Pere; a grandchild, Stephanie Dove, her great grandchildren, Reyna, Cameron, and Zoe Dove; her daughter-in-law, Susan M. Katers, Carville, Louisiana, and many other sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

      She was preceded in death by her husband Norbert; her parents, son, Alan Katers, a sister, Lillian, and a brother, Leroy Lemerond.

      Friends may call at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church, 2270 S. Oneida Street, on Monday from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Monday, at the church, with the Rev. John H. Harper officiating.
