    • MRS. HATTIE ROSS RITES SATURDAY AT CHARLES CITY
      Charles City – Funeral services will be held Saturday at 9 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Church for Mrs. Hattie Ross, 69, a resident of Charles City, who died Wednesday at the Cedar Valley Hospital, where she had been a patient for the past two weeks. She had been in failing health for the past two years. Her husband, Sam Ross, died October 7. 1951

      The Rt. Rev. Msgr. John J Smith will celebrate the mass. The St. Anne Circle Rosary Society and Sacred Heart Guild will meet at the Hauser Funeral Home at 3:30 p.m. Friday to recite the Rosary. The Parish rosary will be held at the funeral home at 8 p.m.

      Mrs. Ross was born March 20, 1888, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Lashbrook. She was married to Sam Ross, June 15, 1903, and has lived in Charles City since 1915. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church, Sacred Heart Gild, St. Anne Circle and Rosary Society.

      She is survived by two daughters and one son; Mrs. Pearl Bullen, Charles City; Mrs. A. H. Dickman, Nashua; and Lawrence Ross , Waterloo, two grandchildren, two sisters and a brother; Mrs. Alvis Hill and Jess Lashbrook, both of Algona; and Mrs. Leota O'Keefe, Perry.
      Besides her husband, her parents and two sisters preceded her in death.
