- Age 90, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 28, 2005 at Kindred Hearts in Kaukauna. Hattie was born in Little Chute on January 1, 1915, daughter of the late George and Jennie (VanGennip) Langhuizen. On July 18, 1935, she married John P.M. Weyenberg at St. Mary Catholic Church in Black Creek; he preceded her in death. Hattie was a longtime and faithful member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Kaukauna, as well as its altar society. Survivors include four sons: James (Barbara Babs") Weyenberg of Kaukauna, Dennis (Janet) Weyenberg of Clintonville, Leroy (Judy) Weyenberg of Canon City, Colorado, and Neil (Mary Ellen) Weyenberg of Lomita, California; nine grandchildren: Amy (James) Pitz, Karen (Curt) Beutler, Sarah (Joe) Buchberger, Wendy (Dennis) Bodway, Sherry (Arden) McClelland, Dawn Weyenberg, Katie (Mark) Parker, Brian (Amie) Weyenberg, and Amanda Weyenberg; fourteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two brothers: George (Ila Mae) Langhuizen of Kimberly and Harry (Dorothy) Langhuizen of Appleton; a sister-in-law: Anna Simon of Little Chute, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Hattie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, brothers John (Gertrude) Langhuizen, Charles (Norma) Langhuizen, Martin Langhuizen; sisters Ann (Elwood) Stevenson, Jean (Stanley) Hooyman, Bertha (Kenneth) Hooyman, and Frances (Elmer) Delfosse.
The funeral liturgy for Hattie will be held at 4:00 PM on Wednesday, March 30, 2005 at ST. MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH, 119 W. 7th Street in Kaukauna with Fr. Robert Udulutsch officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call directly at the church on Wednesday from 2:00 PM until the hour of the service. A memorial fund in Hatties name is being established.
