- Zana Heindel Neenah Age 45, died Wednesday, June 30, 1999 at Appleton Medical Center after a ten month battle with an aggressive form of breast cancer. She was born April 25, 1954 in Milwaukee, daughter of Harry and Mary (Moen) Huff. Zana married Tim Heindel April 13, 1985 at Saint Paul Lutheran Church, Neenah and they have a son, Drew, born on January 3, 1988. Zana will be remembered for her beautiful smile, cheerful disposition, her contagious positive attitude, and for the way she could make everyone else feel better. She enjoyed her 22 years at Kimberly Clark in Neenah, most recently as a research technician. She enjoyed her life, family and many friends. Zana had the ability to spontaneously create and maintain friendships throughout her life. Zana and Tim enjoyed each others company and agreed on all the important things and the rest didn't matter. She was an excellent wife and mother. Zana, Tim and Drew spent two and a half years in Goxhill, England where she embraced the culture, people and heritage. She will be missed by the many friends she made there. Some of the things that were favorites of Zana's: Flavored coffee, Christmas, birthdays, weddings, anything red, watching tennis, theater, popcorn, the Disney character Goofy, poppies and her dog Sophie. Zana was particularly supportive of Tim's efforts to train for and complete marathons.
Zana was active with Drew's school activities, both here and in England. She was a member of Saint Paul Lutheran Church. Zana is survived by her husband, Tim and their son, Drew her father, Harry Huff, Grantsburg, Wisconsin a sister, Diana (Jim) Laabs, Omro a brother, Steven (Kalen) Huff, Berlin three uncles: Zane (Margaret) Huff, Neenah Bill Huff, Dale Ed Huff, Minnesota nieces, nephews, cousins, and so many friends we can't name them all Zana's mother-in-law and father-in-law: Jim and Mary Heindel, Beaver Dam brothers-in-law: Jay (Jean) Heindel, Janesville Drs. Marty (Kelli) Heindel, Appleton Ted (Mary) Heindel, Atlanta, Georgia Luke (Diane) Heindel, Schofield and Joe Heindel, River Falls. Zana was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Huff and a nephew, Christopher Kaye. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 3, 1999, at Saint Paul Lutheran Church with Reverend James Seim officiating. Interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Neenah. Friends may call at the church from 9 a.m. Saturday until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a contribution to fight breast cancer.
