    • De Pere - Anna M. Kocken, 84, De Pere, passed away on Thursday, March 29, 2018. The daughter of Dewey and Margaret (Walton) Hempton was born November 18, 1933 in Green Bay.

      On October 7, 1953, Anna married the former John J. Kocken at St. Francis Cathedral in Green Bay. The couple farmed in Oneida for 15 years. They ran Wayside Lanes for 15 years.

      Anna was very involved with her church, and volunteered for a number of organizations in the area. She enjoyed family get togethers and a good game of cards.

      Survivors include her three daughters, Christine (Carl) Kelwaski, De Pere, Carol (Wayne) Laabs, Wayside, Maribeth (Todd) Vincent, Abrams, four sons, Joseph Kocken (special friend Wanda), Florida, Alan (Marlene) Kocken, De Pere, Tim (Sharon) Kocken, Florida, Scott Kocken, Stiles, fourteen grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren. She is further survived by three sisters-in-law, Marie Vanden Elzen, Eunice Kocken and Caroline Kocken.

      Anna was preceded in death by her parents, Dewey and Margaret, husband John, father and mother-in-law, William and Bertha (Van Lanen) Kocken, one infant son, grandson Kip Kocken, and siblings-in-law, Neil (Harriet) Kocken, Albert (Marlene) Kocken, Walter Kocken, Norbert Kocken, Henrietta (Lester) Roffers, Helen (John) Van Noie and Clarence Vanden Elzen.

      Friends may call at St. Matthew's Catholic Church, 130 St Matthews St, Allouez, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 7, 2018. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Saturday at the church with Father Bob Kabat officiating. Entombment in Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum.
