    • Hans Martin "Marty" Hackspacher, age 60, of Monmouth, Illinois; passed away at 1:05 pm on Sunday January 2nd at his residence. Martin was born on September 6, 1950 in Nurtingen Germany and is the son of Martin and Margaret Stephan Hackspacher. He was raised and educated in Monmouth where he attended school and graduated from Monmouth High School. Marty entered the Army and served as Spec 4 during Viet Nam. He married Patricia Vander Hyden on January 20, 1973 in Monmouth, Illinois. Martin was co-owner and baker at the "Pastry Palace " Bakery in Monmouth for nineteen years. He then became the bakery manager at Giant Foods for a time and lastly was food supervisor at the Hills Correctional Center. Marty was a member of First Lutheran Church and more recently has attended Immanual Baptist Church in Monmouth, Illinois. He is a member of the Monmouth Noon Lions Club and the J.W. Clendenin Post 2301 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Surviving is his wife Pat Hackspacher of Monmouth, Illinois and one daughter Jamie ( David ) Hackspacher Ekiss of Gilbert, Arizona and one son Adam ( Tara ) Hackspacher of Monmouth, Illinois. His mother survives Margaret Hackspacher and two sisters Barb (Don) Altis and Angela (Randy) Reimolds and his brother Mike ( Tracey ) Hackspacher all of Monmouth. There are five grandchildren, Brooke, Corvette, and Bruce Hackspacher and Breinna and Brooke Wells. He is preceded in death by his father, his grandparents, and one niece Missy

      Services: A funeral service will be on Thursday January 6, 2011 at 2:30 pm at the Immanual Baptist Church in Monmouth, Illinois. His family plans to receive friends from 1:30 to 2:30 prior to the service at the church. Interment with military honors will be at Warren County Memorial Park Cemetery in Monmouth. A memorial fund is established for either Gordon Behrents Senior Center or Immanual
