- Mrs. Arwin Sprenger, 82, a resident of Morningside Nursing Home since Jan. 31, 1977, died Thursday after a lengthy illness.
The former Lydia Gleich was born Sept. 21,1899, in Sheboygan, a daughter of Charles and Rosa Thomas Gleich.
On Jan. 20, 1917, she married Arwin Sprenger at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Howards Grove. The couple celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary earlier this year.
She was formerly a resident of 1003 Millersville Ave., Howards Grove.
Mrs. Sprenger was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Howards Grove, its ladies aid society, and a former member of the church choir.
Survivors are husband of Morningside Nursing Home, one son, Lester of Howards Grove; three daughters, Mrs. Milton (Irene) Sebald and Mrs. Reuben (Arline) Hoppe, both of Howards Grove, and Mrs. Bernice Thomson of Sheboygan; eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren, and one step-brother, Walter Grohskopf of Rocky Knoll. She was preceded in death by one sister, two brothers, five step-sisters and one step-brother.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Howards Grove. The Rev. Henry Juroff will officiate. Burial will be in St. Paul Cemetery.
Friends may call at Ahrens Funeral Home, Howards Grove, from 4 to 9 p.m. Sunday, until 11 a.m. Monday and at the church from noon until time of services.
A memorial fund has been established in Mrs. Sprenger's name for St. Paul Lutheran Church, Howards Grove.
