Lost the battle to cancer at the young age of 61, on Wednesday, July 16, 1997 at her home. She was born July 3, 1936 in Combined Locks the daughter of the late Henry and Susan [Hietpas] Kamps. Vonnie married Donald Reitzner on October 19, 1957. She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, Combined Locks, and the parish will her many hours of he volunteer work. She was a member of Combined Locks Horseshoe Club and a auxiliary member the Combined Locks VFW Post 10544. Vonnie will be remembered as an avid golfer, horseshoe player and traveler. She worked at Jerry Kamps bar in Combined Locks, the family establishment since since she was old enough to reach the tapper.
She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Donald; four children, Sandy and Jim Anderson, Milwaukee; Greg and Deanne Reitzner, Beaverton, Oregon; Kay and Rick Weigman, Kaukauna; Kurt and Lisa Reitzner, New Lenox, Illinois; her eight grandchildren; Emma Anderson, Marianne and Christopher Reitzner, Melissa Stewart, Tyler and Allie Weigman, Alexandra and Mitchell Reitzner; two sisters and brothers in-law, Priscilla and Gordon Muelemans, Combined Locks; Theresa and Harry Lamers, Combined Locks; a brother and sister in-law, Gerald and Rosemary Kamps, Combined Locks; her husbands two brothers and sisters in-law, Melvin [Cynthia] Reitzner, St. Louis, Missouri; Harold [Genny] Reitzner, Appleton; nieces, and nephews.
The Mass of Resurrection will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 19, 1997 at St. Paul Catholic Church, Combined Locks with Father Robert Vandenberg officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the Jansen Fargo Funeral Home, Kimberly
