    • William Carter Meyer, 91, a native of Wisconsin and a resident of Fairhope since 1932, died Dec. 4, 1995, in a local hospital.
      Meyer was preceded in death by a daughter, Eleanor Ruth Meyer and a son, Robert Meyer.
      Survivors include his wife, Pernile Nellie Meyer of Fairhope; two daughters, Marjorie Ard of Silverhill and Dorothy (Dottie) Meyer of Houma, La.; one son, Donald W. Meyer of Hooksett, N.H.; 19 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
      Services were held Dec. 7 from the Belforest Christian Church with the Rev. Nelson Thomas officiating. Interment followed in Colony Cemetery, Fairhope.
      Arrangements were made by Bayview Funeral Home in Fairhope.
