- Tod O. Daniel, age 74, of Janesville, WI, died on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison. He was born in Appleton, WI on August 22, 1942, the son of the late Dale and Mary (Krueger) Daniel. On September 5, 1964, he married Carol J. Skibba and together they had four children. He later married Jennifer Weston and they divorced. Tod graduated from Kimberly High School in 1960, St. Norbert College in De Pere, WI in 1964 and Marquette Law School in 1967. After Tod graduated from Law School, he served in the US Army while he was married with two children and one on the way. He was proud of his country and wanted to serve even though he could have received a deferment. His tour of duty included time served in Vietnam.
Tod practiced law in Janesville as a trial attorney, always looking out for the little guy. He always felt and believed that everyone deserved a fair trial. At times Tod was known to be very opinionated, but at the same time he was very down to earth. He was a very intelligent and unpretentious gentleman, who truly loved to practice law. His hobbies included raising and racing quarter horses, traveling to England, but most of all attending his grandchildren's school and sporting activities.
He is survived by his four children: Sarah Daniel Emerson of Janesville, Andrew Daniel of Janesville, Jennifer Daniel of Madison, WI, and Matthew Daniel of Hartland, WI; grandchildren: Marques, Bryce, Michael, and Jared Emerson, and John "Jack" and Katherine Daniel. He is further survived by his sister: Jennifer (John Skibba) Christianson of Kimberly, WI; brother: Phillip (Sue) Daniel of Sobieski, WI, sister-in-law: Bea Daniel of Appleton, WI; his aunt: Marie Juhre of Kaukauna, WI; many other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother: Dennis Daniel.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, January 26, 2017 at the Whitcomb - Lynch Funeral Home. Burial with Military Rites will follow at Holy Name Catholic Cemetery in Kimberly, WI. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the Whitcomb - Lynch Funeral Home and again on Thursday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.
