    • Ruth J. Bevers, 91, Little Chute, passed away on Sunday, March 31, 2013, at Parkside Care Center. She was born on November 10, 1921, daughter of Edwin and Lydia (Erdman) Petznick. Ruth married Orval Bevers on Novemer 25, 1942, and he preceded her in death in 1995. She loved her pet cats, traveling to Door County, going out to lunch and reading. Ruth was employed at Kings Variety for over 40 years.

      Ruth is survived by her daughters: Vicki (Dan) Buss, Jane Coffey and Christine Bevers; grandchildren: Brian Buss and Julie St. Thomas; great-grandchildren: Treven, Zoe and Jonah Buss and Scarlett, Michael and Maxwell St. Thomas.

      Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sisters: Eldine Schulz, Sally Vandenberg and Lila Dorshner; a brother, Newell Petznick; son-in-law, Chuck Coffey; sisters and brothers-in-law: Elmer Schulz, Art Vandenberg, Bill Dorshner, Dave Bevers, Jesse Bevers, Audrey Schmidt, Carol Bevers, Marvin Skalmusky and Woody McCabe; mother and father-in-law, Myrtle and Adrian Bevers; special friend Jo Wege; and many other nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.

      Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 4, 2013, at Appleton Highland Memorial Park's Star of Hope Chapel, 3131 N. Richmond St., Appleton. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Park. Visitation will take place on Thursday at the Star of Hope Chapel from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the service. A memorial has been established in Ruth's name.
