      Age 83, died Saturday morning, December 14, 1985, at Appleton Medical Center, following a brief illness. She was born November 25, 1902, in Freedom, and was a Kaukauna resident all of her married life. She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, Kaukauna and the Third Order of St. Francis.

      Survivors include four daughters and four sons in-law, Elizabeth [Betty] and Victor Pieters, Kaukauna; Marie and Norman Reybrock, Little Chute; Joan and Matt Hopfensberger, Appleton; and Dorothy and James VandenHeuvel, Kimberly; four sons and four daughters in-law, Henry and Bernice Maes, Kaukauna; Paul and Margaret Maes, El Paso, Texas; John and Sharon Maes, Tacoma, Washington; and Dan and Jeanie Maes, Baldwin, Missouri; three brothers, William and Richard, Neenah; and Lester Hoks; five sisters, Mrs. Loretta Wheaton, Tucson, Arizona; Mrs. Royal [Anna] Weyenberg, Kimberly; Mrs. Dorothy Pennings, Little Chute; and Mrs. Charles [Eleanor] Wheaton, Green Bay; a sister in-law, Mrs. Della Hoks, Neenah; 45 grandchildren and 72 great grandchildren.

      She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry; three brothers; and two sisters.

      The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, December 17, 1985 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Kaukauna with the Rev. David Beaudry officiating. Burial will be in parish cemetery. Friends may call at the Fargo Funeral Home, Kaukauna from 4-8 p.m. Monday, and after 9 a.m. Tuesday until the time of service. There will be a 6:30 p.m. Monday prayer service at the funeral home.
