      Age 58, died unexpectedly Friday, Jan. 12, 1996 at his home. He was born July 12, 1937 in Leeman, the son of the late Earl Hammond and Mildred (Wolff) Hammond Kohls. Ron married Janet L. Brem on June 9, 1962. He graduated from Kaukauna High School in 1955, Outagamie County Teacher's College, Kaukauna, in 1961, and WSU Oshkosh in 1967. He was a teacher for 17 years and servred as a principal in 1962 and 1963. He recently retired from Akrosil. Ron was a founder and the current president of the Kaukauna Sportsman's Club; a member of Ducks Unlimited, a hunter safety instructor, and all around sportsman. Ron is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Lynn A. and Lawerence Brady, Marinette, Suzanne Hammond, Marinette; a son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Mari Hammond, Kimberly; four grandchildren, Bryan and Bradley Brady, Kaitlyn and Kyle Miller; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Marvin and Barbara Jean Hammond, Black Creek, Merle and Millie Hammond, Marinette, David and Patricia Kohls, Oshkosh; a half-brother, Delbert Hammond, Kansas City, Kan.; aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, cousins and many close friends. Ron was preceded in death by his wife, Janet, in 1967 and a brother, Leo Hammond, in 1986. A memorial service will be at 7 p.m. Monday at the Fargo Funeral Home with Father John Hephner officiating.
