    • Roger Marlin Springstroh "Squeak"

      Roger M. Springstroh passed away unexpectedly and entered eternal life into the arms of our dear Lord on November 22, 2017. Roger was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandpa and great-grandpa.

      Roger was born on April 15, 1941 to the late Lawrence & Melda (Witt) Springstroh in Brown County and grew up on the family dairy farm on French Road in Freedom. Roger was a lifelong member of St. Peter Ev. Lutheran Church, being baptized May 15, 1941 and confirmed in the Lutheran faith May 22, 1955. He attended St. Peter Ev. Lutheran School and Freedom High School, graduating in 1959.

      On December 30, 1961 Roger married Lois Voeks. They had 3 sons, 1 daughter, 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Jeffrey Lee (deceased 2012), his children; Corey (special friend Brenda and her daughter, Brianna), Ryan, Travis & Ashlie & children; Parker, Anna, Taylor, & Justin (special friend Mikayla) Springstroh; Randy & Michelle & children Stephanie (special friend Nick) & Isaac; Dan & Christy & children Tyler & Emilie Springstroh; and Kathy & Kevin & daughter, Kourtney Moeller.

      Over the years Roger was employed at Outagamie County Equity, Fox Tractor and last at MCC until his retirement.

      Roger enjoyed spending time with his family. His grandkids and great-grandkids brought so much joy to his life. Roger had a passion for the outdoors, especially deer hunting and fishing. Gardening, making sausage and making good use of his wild game smoker were other interests of his.

      In addition to his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Roger is further survived by brothers; Ron & Marge and Lloyd & Kaye and sister-in-laws: Nancy Springstroh, Jane Van Asten, Elaine Springstroh, & brother-in-law Richard Liewergen and many nieces & nephews.

      Roger is also survived by Lois’ family Helen Johnson, Darlene (Bill) Schroeder and Darrell Voeks.

      Preceded in death by his parents, his son Jeffrey, brothers Richard, Jim (Harv), Larry and sister Janet Liewergen and nephew Christopher Springstroh. Also by Lois’ parents Rhinold & Alice Voeks, sister-in-law Dorothy Schimmelpfenning, nephews Kevin Johnson, Michael Voeks and David Schroeder.

      Roger’s family will receive relatives and friends at St. Peter Lutheran Church, N2740 French Road, Appleton, WI 54913 on Sunday, November 26 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. and again on Monday, November 27 from 9:00-10:45 a.m. Service for celebration of Roger’s life will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Tim Glende and Jim Fleming. Interment will be in St. Peter Cemetery. In lieu of flowers a memorial will be established in Roger’s name. Online condolences may be made at www.verkuilenfh.com.
