- Formerly of Medina, age 73, passed away on Thursday evening, July 2, 1992 at his residence. He was born on March 17, 1919 in Black Creek, the son of Harry and Sada (Huse) Armitage. On October 16, 1946 he was married to Henrietta Miller at St. Patrick Church in Menasha and had been employed by the Service Motor Company of Dale for 38 years until his retirement. He was a World War II Army veteran decorated with several medals. He loved to play cards and spent many hours with his family and friends doing so. He is survived by his wife, a daughter, Carol Armitage, Appleton; a son, Ronald Armitage, Oshkosh; two grandchildren; Jesse and Justin; five brothers and sisters - in- laws; Harry and Ella, Appleton; Calvin and Gladys, Kimberly; Donald and Lois, Madison; Merlin and Susan, San Antonio, Texas; Wesley and Jean Papilion, Nebraska; a sister and two brother-in-laws Eleanor and Vernon Beschta, Leonard Beschta, all of Appleton.
He is further survived by numerous neices, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Preceding him in death were his parents, a son, Thomas ; a brother, Emerson, and two sisters, Oliver and Bernice. The complete Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 A.M. on Monday, July 6, 1992 from St.. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Hortonville with the Rev. Justin N. Werner celebrating. Interment will be in Dale Union Cemetery. Friends may call at the Borchardt and Moder Funeral Home, Hortonville on Sunday from 4 until 8 P.M. where there will be a 7 P.M. parish prayer service on on Monday from 8:30 A.M. until the procession leaves for the church.
