    • Rodney D. Ott, age 70, of 2050 CafĂ© Court, Brillion, died Tuesday, January 27, 1998 at his home following a short illness.
      Funeral services will be held Friday, January 30, 1998 at Trinity Lutheran church, Brillion. Rev. Ross Henzi will officiate. Burial will be in the Brillion community Cemetery.

      Rodney was born April 6, 1927, in the town of Brillion, son of the late Walter and Bernice (Kosmosky) Ott. He married Joan Cyr on June 14, 1951 in Appleton. Rodney farmed in the town of Brillion and also worked for the Calumet County SheriffÂ’s Department for 29 years, achieving the rank of Sergeant. He also served as undersheriff and was Deputy Coroner for many years. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran church in Brillion.

      Survivors include his wife, Joan; his children and their spouses, Mark and Lynn Ott, Chilton, Wayne and Sandy Ott, Park View, Iowa, Mike and Jan Ott, Reedsville and Lori and Steve Mentzel, Forest Junction; 11 grandchildren; and one brother and sister-in-law, Darrell and Delores Ott, Chilton. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Delores Spikerman.
