    • Rod A. Genett, 49, aka Hot Rod, transitioned early Sunday morning, June 5, 2016 following a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. His zest for life was evident in everything he did.

Growing up Rod played many sports, excelling in football at Neenah High School and then onto UW Stout Menominee.

He was an avid sports fan - possessing an encyclopedic knowledge of all sports, especially his Green Bay Packers.

His work life included PH Glatfelter and a wealth of experience in masonry, paving, dynamite blasting, building and lastly as a foreman of a heavy construction crew in Houston TX.

With his genuine personality and unique sense of humor, Rod leaves a lasting impact on the family he loved and the friends he treasured.

Rod is survived by his loving parents, Forrest "Bud" and Karen Genett, devoted brother Clint 'Howie" Genett and love Tracy Wenzel. He is further survived by many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins with whom he shared a tremendous bond as well as his loyal dogs Bow, Daisy and Nitschke.

In mourning the loss of Rod, remember his laughter, wit and many "Rodism" quotes.

Special Thanks to the ThedaCare Cancer Center Team for their exhaustive efforts and care - truly amazing.

A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, June 10, 2016 at Neenah's Westgor Funeral Home, 205 W. Doty Avenue, Neenah with The Rev. Catherine A.K. Mode officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 2:00 p.m. until the hour of the service.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for cancer charities.
