Notes - Rita Sarah Geurts, age 73, of Kaukauna, died peacefully at her home Tuesday, September 7, 2004 with her family by her side. Rita was born on March 27, 1931 in Little chute to Leonard and Mayme Pynenberg. Rita loved spending time with her grandchildren and playing cards. She was especially a great crocheter.
Survivors include her children: Lori (Ed) Wojtowicz, Kaukauna; Lisa (Scott) Secor, Kaukauna; and Terry Geurts, (Special friend Karen), Darboy; Rita's grandchildren: Kevin (Annie), Brian, Shaw, Tony Geurts; Crystal Geurts; Marcus and Matthew Wojtowicz; Ashley and Travis Secor; her brother, Leighon Pynenberg; her sister-in-law, Blanche Pynenberg; and step-brothers, Jim and Pat Jansen.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Michael and Dennis; brothers, Gerald and Richard; sisters-in-law, Ann and Linda Pynenberg.
Funeral services will be held at 5 p.m., Thursday, September 9, 2004 at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, Little Chute with Rev. Patrick Beno officiating. Entombment will be in Highland Memorial Park, Appleton. Friends may call at the church from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the church. A memorial fund has been established.
