- Richard R. Ott, 64, formerly of Gillett, went home on Tuesday morning, July 18, 2017, surrounded by those he loved.He was born May 14, 1953 to the late Harold and Phyllis (Oudenhoven) Ott and raised in Forest Junction. He attended Brillion High School. Richard proudly served his country for 22 years from 1971 to 1993. On July 17, 1976 he married Kasandra (Kassie) Kuehl of Sherwood.
Richard enjoyed the outdoors including farming in Gillett, geo-caching, traveling and camping. He also enjoyed driving tour bus, especially for the Green Bay Gamblers. It was the time spent with family and friends, especially his grandchildren that he cherished the most. Richard was truly one of a kind and will be missed greatly.
He is survived by his wife, Kassie, of 41 years; his children, Angela Ott, Elizabeth (Jon) Kelnhofer, and Ben (Laura) Ott; his grandchildren, Tori, Brenna, Gracelin, Braden, Gretta, Brooklyn, and Cooper.
He is further survived by siblings, Randy Ott, Red Ott, Cheri (Jim) Miller, Raye Ann (Tom) Robinson, Robin (Mike) Sommerfeld, Reed (Pat) Ott. Also, Kassie's father, Kenneth Kuehl, and her siblings, Kendall Kuehl, Karl (Ann) Kuehl, Karol Jean (Robert) Heine, Karlyn (Keith) Pennings, Kory (Chasity Fischer) Kuehl, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his mother-in-law, Eunice (Menting) Kuehl, and sister-in-law, Kitty Kuehl.
Family and friends may call at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 305 N. Tenth Street, De Pere. There will be a celebration of life starting at 3:00PM on Saturday, July 22, 2017. Special thanks to Mike Huff, a dear friend and comrade, who served with Richard in the Army and has been a true friend since. The family would also like to thank Green Bay Oncology and the staff on 9th Floor at St. Vincent Hospital.
