Rella Leone Ziesemer, age 96, died Saturday, September 16, 2006, at Century Oaks Care Center in Darboy. Rella was born November 12, 1909, in Shiocton, to the late Isaac and Eva (Bessette) Young. On March 9, 1943, Rella was united in marriage to Daniel Ziesemer in Black Creek. The couple spent 55 years together until his death on November 17, 1998. Rella worked at the Hortonville Canning Company, and later at Tuttle Press, retiring in 1973. She was a member of AARP and St. Bernadette Catholic Church in Appleton. She enjoyed playing cards, crocheting, gardening, socializing, and the music of Lawrence Welk.
She is survived by two granddaughters, Ann (Jerry) Lintner, Chilton and Joy Stoeger, Appleton four grandsons: Tim Stoeger, Chilton Mark Stoeger, Chilton Eric Stoeger, Appleton and Jim Stoeger, Appleton her great-granddaughter, Jamie (Reed) Beyer, New Holstein her great-great-granddaughter, Emma Beyer, New Holstein a sister-in-law, Ceil Young, Darboy and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter, Ruth Stoeger, her son-in-law, Herbert Stoeger, her two sisters, Nora Oak and Angeline Tabat, her two brothers, George and Virgil Young.
A Funeral Service will be held 11:30 a.m.on Saturday, September 23, at the Brettschneider-Trettin-Lederer Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Donald Zuleger officiating. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will take place at Highland Memorial Park.
