    • RANDOLPH 'RANDY' H. PILGREEN, 70 POPLAR GROVE - Randolph "Randy" H. Pilgreen, 70, of Poplar, Grove, IL died peacefully, Tuesday, March 25, 2014, surrounded by his loving family, after a lengthy illness. Randy was born April 25, 1943, in Wauwatosa, WI, son of Hollis R. and Naomi C. (Midtbo) Pilgreen. Randy graduated from high school in Appleton, WI. He served in the United States Army. After the army, Randy attended the University of Wisconsin Pharmacy School. Randy married Susan L. Neumaier on May 26, 1973, in Roxbury, WI. He worked as the chief of police for Argyle and Cottage Grove, WI, and as a charter pilot for various companies. He was a member of Poplar Grove United Methodist Church. In his spare time, he enjoyed flying, boating, fishing, waterskiing, bowling, hunting and golfing. He is loved and will be missed by his wife, Susan; children, Kevin Pilgreen, Eric Pilgreen, Amanda Pilgreen; sisters, Delores Everson, Carolyn Worishofer; grandsons, Jay, Evan, Michael, Luke, Noah and Hunter. He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Jerod H. Pilgreen; sister, Thelma J. West; and mother and father-in-law, Aaron and Helen Neumaier. Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 29, 2014, at Poplar Grove United Methodist Church, 105 E. Grove St, Poplar Grove, IL 61065, with Rev. Paul Nolden officiating. Memorial Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 28, 2014, at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services: Buck-Wheeler-Hyland Chapel, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave, Belvidere, IL 61008.
