Nicholas Hietpas Dies At Age 35; Services Today
Nicholas O. Hietpas, 35, an employee of Thilmany Pulp and Paper Co., died Friday evening following a long illness. He had resided at 204 Lilac Lane, Little Chute.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. today at St. John's Catholic Church, Little Chute, with Msgr. James Vanden Hogen officiating. Interment will take place in the parish cemetery. Military services will follow the mass at the church.
Mr. Hietpas was born May 17, 1940, in the Town of Vandenbroek and had lived in the Fox Valley area all of his life. He was a member of the Music Parents of Little Chute, and was treasurer of the Quarterback Club. He was also a member of the Parent Teachers Organization. Mr. Hietpas graduated of Kaukauna High School in 1958 and served with the National Guard from 1959 to 1966.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Welter Hietpas; three daughters, Susan, Karen and Kim, all at home, a son Robert, also at home; three brothers, Roger and Melvin both of Combined Locks, and Marvin of Rt. 1, Kaukauna; a sister, Mrs. Kenneth (Joyce) Smith of Neenah. He is also survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Hietpas of Shawano; and his father and mother in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Welter of Eau Claire.
Pallbearers will be Richard Schuh, Joseph Vander Loop, Daniel Van De Loo, Jerry De Coster, Dale Brown and James Golden. The Fargo Funeral Home, Kaukauna, is assisting the family with arrangements. A memorial fund has been established.
