    • Nancy Ann (Smits-Evearts) Noel, 86, Green Bay, passed away Sunday, January 22, 2017. She was born on May 11, 1930, in De Pere to Johanna Smits. Nancy was later adopted by Alden Evearts, Sr.

      Nancy attended St. Matthew Grade School and graduated from St. Joseph Academy, Class of 1949. She married John R. Noel on July 21, 1951 at St. Matthew Catholic Church. Nancy was a member of the American Legion Auxillary, Post #11.

      Nancy is survived by her loving husband, John; three children and their spouses: Patricia (Leroy) Edinger, Suamico; Steven (Robyn) Noel, Green Bay; and Scott (Julie) Noel, Seguin, TX; 12 grandchildren, Kristy (Shawn) Demuth, Nicole (Joel) VandenBranden, Kim Enderby, Kelly (David) Surprise, Stacy (Alan) Krings, Amanda (Matt) Rotter, Jenna (Richard) Robbins, Terra Noel, Misty Kelly, Ethan (Hannah) Noel, Jeremiah (Jen) Shaw, Derek (Amanda) Shaw; 17 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Rita Brault, Dianne (Joe) Brud, Mary Melchior; brother-in-law, Dick Noel; sisters-in-law, Jean Noel, Maria Evearts, Ardath Evearts; and many nieces and nephews.

      She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Lea Noel; her parents; a sister, Lois Green; brothers, Alden Evearts Jr., James Evearts; sisters-in-law, Mary Noel, Doris Noel, Bonnie Evearts; and brothers-in-law, James Noel, Bill Noel, James Brault.

      Nancy donated her body to UW-Madison for medical research.

      Friends may call at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2771 Oakwood Dr., from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday, January 26. The Memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, January 26 at the church with Rev. John Van Deuren officiating. Blaney Funeral Home is assisting the family.
