    • Judy Zimmerman

Just beyond the window of a cottage-like room stands a white picket fence accented with colors of the wind, surrounding the serenity of a front porch adorned with cozy rocking chairs from where squirrels can be seen scurrying about, busy preparing for the months ahead.

In that quaint room, all of our Sunday school lessons came together and with the family of her dreams at her side, Judith Eleanor Zimmerman passed away peacefully and with dignity on October 8, 2012.

Judy is survived by her adoring mother Eleanor Zimmerman, her devoted husband for all seasons, Keith Zimmerman, her two loving daughters and their families; Gay and James Lemmers and their children Quinn and Lucy, Joy and Lee St. John and their daughter Isabelle.

Judy was born in St. Louis Missouri and spent her childhood in the beautiful north woods of Minocqua, Wisconsin. Shortly after they married, Judy and Keith chose Little Chute as the place to start their family. Throughout the years, Judy and Keith continued to call the Fox Valley their home as they moved to Combined Locks and then to Darboy.

A woman of great creative style and taste, Judy had the natural talents to turn anything ordinary into extraordinary! Whether it was putting an outfit together, decorating a room, creating a gourmet meal, setting a table, finding a gift and wrapping it, sketching a picture or engaging in a casual conversation, it was always remarkable once Judy got involved! Her artistic legacy lives on in her grandchildren of whom she was always so proud of and eager to boast about.

Judy is further survived by her cherished sister Doris Pich, a sister-in-law Judi Cuthbert and several wonderful nieces and nephews, her dear mother-in-law, Phyllis Zimmerman and brother-in-law, Ray (Wanda) Zimmerman. Family preceding Judy in death; her beloved big sister Agnes Cuthbert , big brother Thomas Cuthbert, her stepfather Elmer Zimmerman, father-in-law Lamar Zimmerman and her precious dogs Chata and Chopper.

Per Judy's wishes, a private family service will be held. Any expressions of condolences will be gifted to Cherry Meadows Hospice. Online Condolences may be expressed at www.wichmannfargo.com

The family wishes to express deep appreciation to all of the staff at Cherry Meadows/Thedacare Hospice for their most tender and attentive care of Judy during her final days. You are truly, truly a gift!

The family would also like to thank the physicians and staff of the Martha Siekman Cancer Center at AMC as well as Dr. Robert Fox, Dr. John Swanson, Jr. , Dr. Satish Achanti, and all other staff members for their care, honesty and guidance throughout Judy's illness. We are so grateful.
