      Age 67, Mother, Grandmother, Sister and Friend died at her home on Wednesday, November 20, 2002. She was born December 14, 1934 in Little Chute daughter of Sebastan and Helen (Arnoldussen) Hietpas. She married Joseph Kees on August 20, 1957. Joyce was a faithful member of St. John Catholic Church in St. John. She was a member of St. John Christian Mothers, the Catholic Knights, and enjoyed playing cards, genealogy and parties with her children and grandchildren. The annual pool party was one of her favorites. Survivors include her children: Mary Kees and Special Friend Larry, Appleton Robert (Margaret) Kees, Hilbert Joseph (Lisa) Kees, Waupaca Barbara (Terry) Preston, Whitelaw Donna (Carl) Hanson, Brillion Jane (Luke) Kopecky, Hilbert David, Susan and James Kees, Hilbert and Joseph Kees Sr. Father of her children, Sherwood. She is also survived by her 18 grandchildren: Ellisha, David, Kyle and Nicholas Kees, Amy Benjamin, Elizabeth and Christina Kees, Sara, Dawn, Robin and Emily Preston, Adam and David Hanson, Adam, Heather, Marcus and Anna Kopecky brothers and sisters: Mary Ellen Hietpas, Bernice (Gerald) Vandenburg, Robert R. (Judith) Hietpas, Alfred (Patricia) Hietpas, Rose Ann (Norbert) Lauer, Jerome J. (Mary) Hietpas, Janet (David) Janssen, Carol (William) Jirikowic, Joan Hietpas and David (Linda K.) Hietpas brothers and sisters-in-law: Adelbert (Esther) Kees, Herman (Marie) Kees, Rita (Ray) Mueller, Sister Cecile Marie Case, Sister Marie Case, Ruth Uitenbroek, Sister Annacile Case, Regina (Marvin) Brichner, Dorothy (Roland) Brandt, Martin (Mary) Kees, Michael (Christine) Kees and Chuck Peters. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Delores, sisters-in-law: Alvera Kees, Lillian Kees, and Hildegarde Kees a brother-in-law, Leonard Kees. Funeral Services will be 11 a.m. Monday November 25, 2002 at St. John Catholic Church in St. John with the Rev. Kenneth Frozena officiating. Burial will be in the Parish Cemetery. Friends may call at the Wieting Funeral Home, 411 W. Main St. on Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m. and again on Monday from 9 until 10:15 a.m. when family prayers will be held. A parish prayer service will be held at 6:45 p.m., followed by a Christian Mothers Rosary on Sunday evening at the funeral home. A special thank you to all of her caregivers, family, classmates and good friends who visited friends who visited her during her illness.
