- Jeanette Lorraine Wachowski, age 87, of 2241 Menasha Ave., Manitowoc, passed into eternal life on Saturday, Oct. 27, 2007, at River's Bend, Manitowoc.
Jeanette was born on Aug. 2, 1920, daughter of the late Edward and Helen Schmidt.
On May 15, 1940, she married Frank Wachowski.
Jeanette enjoyed landscaping, especially growing and caring for her lawn, gardens and taking care of flowers. She also enjoyed baking, cooking, leaning her home and helping the family, grandchildren and many others. Jeannette loved polka dancing and playing cards. She especially enjoyed her family, her neighbors and their families.
Survivors include her husband of 67 years: Frank Wachowski; daughter: Arlene Neuser, Manitowoc; granddaughter: Joan Neuser, Manitowoc, two grandsons: Mark Neuser, Florence and John Neuser, Manitowoc; and one great-granddaughter: Ashley. She is further survived by one sister: Pat (Norbert) Novak, Denmark; four brothers: Harvey Schmidt, Florida; Merle Schmidt, Indianapolis, Ind.; Duane Schmidt, Tisch Mills; and Robert (Joan) Schmidt, Tisch Mills; brother-in-law: Francis Riha, along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Jeannete was also preceded in death by a son: Donald Wachowski; three sisters: Ardyce Riha, Laverne Bangaret and Carol Sloma; and three brothers: Arnold Schmidt, Truman Schmidt and Alfred Schmidt.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2007, at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, Two Rivers. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. William G. O'Brien, with entombment in Knollwood Chapel Mausoleum, Highway 310, Manitowoc. The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, Two Rivers, on Wednesday morning, from 9 a.m. until the time of Mass at 10:30 a.m. Deja & Martin Funeral Chapels, 1506 18th St., Two Rivers, is assisting the Wachowski family with funeral arrangements.
