Van Zeeland, Jeannette C.
Jeanette C. Van Zeeland, Kaukauna, age 63, passed away on Sunday, November 1, 2009, at Bellin Hospital. She was born January 20, 1946, in Green Bay to the late Lloyd and Helen (Elst) Humblet. Jeanette was a graduate of East DePere High School, Class of 1964. On August 8, 1967, she was united in marriage to Terrance Van Zeeland at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Oneida. Together they celebrated 42 years of marriage. She enjoyed snowmobiling, traveling, camping, cooking, and music. Most importantly, Jeanette was a devoted wife and mother. She treasured time spent with her family and grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Terrance; four children: Shana (Paul) Farrell, Kaukauna; Christa (Lyle) Uitenbroek, Wrightstown; Kim (John) Connelly, De Pere; Terry (special friend Jenifer Murphy) Van Zeeland, Appleton; 11 grandchildren: Shannon and Lauren Farrell, Connor and Courtney Uitenbroek, Claire, Evan, Rachael, Leah, and Sarah Connelly, Felicia and Lukas Van Zeeland; a sister, Joyce Weitzel; a brother, Doug (Yvonne) Humblet. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, and in-laws.
She was preceded in death by her beloved son Shawn, who was dearly missed and a special part of her life. Additionally, she was preceded by her parents, her mother and father-in-law, a brother Donald Humblet, a nephew Steven Lawrenz and a niece Mary Lynn Van Zeeland.
A Memorial Service for Jeanette will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, November 5, 2009, at St. John Ev. Lutheran Church, 437 Turner St., Wrightstown, with Rev. Matthew Vik and Rev. Carl Klein co-officiating. Friends will be received on Wednesday, November 4, 2009, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Boettcher Family Funeral Home, 2401 Fieldcrest Drive, Kaukauna, and again at church on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund is being established.
