- JeanAnn Meyer, 69, Kaukauna, passed away Monday, May 31, 2010, after a long illness with her family by her side. She was born April 4, 1941, in Little Chute, daughter of Edward "Corky" and Martha (Gerrits) Jansen. JeanAnn married David Meyer August 24, 1963, at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, Little Chute. She was employed as a millworker in Appleton for several years. JeanAnn enjoyed playing cribbage and sheephead, as well as BINGO. She also enjoyed the slot machines. Jean told a good joke and always had a new one to tell.
JeanAnn is survived by her husband, David; daughters: Bonnie (Darrin) Lane, Amy "Lip" Meyer, Cathy (Gerald) Palmer; grandchildren: James Quaintance, Mike (Erica) Meyer, Christopher and David Zierer; great-grandchildren: Austin and Devon Meyer; all of her adopted grandchildren; brothers and sisters: Jim (Nancy) Jansen, Joyce (Glenn) Weyenberg, Joe (Pam) Jansen, Jackie (Ron) Wegand; brothers- and sisters-in-law: Herb (Bev) Meyer, Jim (Dorie) Meyer, Gene (Janet) Meyer, Stan (Joan) Meyer, Joe (Arlene) Meyer, Bev Knoll; further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
JeanAnn was preceded in death by her parents and father- and mother-in-law, William and Martha Meyer.
Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. TODAY, Wednesday, June 2, 2010, at the Star of Hope Chapel, Highland Memorial Park, 3131 N. Richmond Street, Appleton. Entombment will follow. Visitation will be at the Star of Hope Chapel from 10 a.m. Wednesday until the time of the service.
