- Janice M. Stoveken, 90, De Pere, died Tuesday, February 23, 2016. She was born on May 19, 1925, in Mantorville, MN to John and Nora (Scharberg) Buehler. Janice married John Stoveken and they raised three children. She loved to be busy. Janice waitressed most of her life and retired from Red Lobster after 15 years, where she made many close friends. She was not one to stay still so she continued working at Be-Alive Nutrition Center until her health issues would no longer allow her to do so.
Janice enjoyed cooking, keeping up on politics, watching The Bold and the Beautiful and CNN. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Janice is survived by her three children, John and Betty Stoveken, Laurie Stoveken and her fiancé, Chris Dixon, Carrie Stoveken and her partner, Terri LeRoy; six grandchildren, Matt Stoveken, Ben Stoveken, Michael (Therese) Collins, Jeffrey (Deanna) Collins, Jennifer (Thong) Keomanyvong, Eric VanFrachen; 11 great-grandchildren, Abby, John, Megan, Riley, Kate, Rooke, Nyah, Anthong, Avin, Tegean, Keon; five siblings, Carol Spice, Clarice (Lloyd) Kleinhenz, Donna (Robert) Berganini, , Gary Buehler, Maynard Buehler and his partner, Bea St. Onge; three sisters-in-law and a brother-in-law, Donna Buehler, Rita Stoveken, Margaret Kleivo and her partner, Tom Davey, Neil Stoveken; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her former husband, John Stoveken; an infant son, David; a brother, Kenneth Buehler; brothers-in-law, George Kleivo and Harlin Stoveken; sister-in-law, Norma Schallock and her husband, Milt; a special friend, Harold DuChateau.
Friends may call at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday. The Funeral Service will be held at a 1 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Entombment will be in the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum. To send online condolences, please go to www.BlaneyFuneralHome.com.
