    • Jane M. (Stein) Baumann, 90, Appleton, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 19, 2011. She was born in the Town of Vandebroek, WI on September 1, 1921, the daughter of the late John and Mary (Plesser) Stein. She married Robert W. Baumann on November 4, 1944 at St. Mary's Church in Appleton. She was employed at the Wisconsin Bell Telephone Company prior to her marriage. She then spent 29 years working beside her husband and raising seven children on their dairy farm on Ballard Road in Appleton, retiring in 1973. Jane was active as a volunteer at St. Thomas More Parish and in the Community.

      Jane is survived by daughters: Rebecca (Richard) Hawker, Baileys Harbor; Anne (Bernard) Kolasinski, Menasha; Barbara (Steven) Driessen, Cape Coral, FL; Patricia (William) Wildenberg, Superior; son, Daniel (Heidi) Baumann, Appleton; son-in-law, William Aykens, Menasha; grandchildren: Robert (Kelly) Hawker, Deanna (Jerry) Manderfield, Gregory (Jill) Aykens, Steven (Lindsey) Aykens, Craig (Michelle) Kolasinski, Jeffrey (Amy) Kolasinski, Brian (Kelly) Kolasinski, April Mattix, Rose (Steven) Shedlock, Jill Driessen, Sara (George) Hess, Mary Wildenberg, Travis (Sara) Wildenberg, Julie (James) Mishefske, Kristin Baumann, Erin Baumann and Rachel Baumann; great grandchildren: MaKayla and Abagail Hawker, Megan, Katey and Molly Manderfield, Allyssa Aykens, Emily, Elizabeth and Annie Aykens, Jack and Charlie Aykens, Olivia and Sarah Fischer, Brenna, Allison, Kennedy and Madelyn Kolasinski, Jackson and Mason Kolasinski, Brooke, Kimberly and Brea Kolasinski, Sarah Shedlock, Aidan Driessen and Amber Hess. She is further survived by her brother, James Stein and a brother-in-law, Carl Van Vreede.

      She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; daughter, Jean, son, Robert; grandsons: David Aykens and Mark Kolasinski; sisters: Frances Vander Linden, Marie Simon, Bernice Weisnicht and Margaret Van Vreede; brothers: John Stein, Frank Stein and infant Harold Stein; sisters-in-law: Sister M. Justa Baumann, Mary Paltzer, Ceil Dercks, Lois Baumann-Jaeger, Frances Stein, Alice Stein and Mary Stein; brothers-in-law: George Jaeckels, Floyd Weisnicht, Al Vander Linden, Gordon Simon, Robert Paltzer, Nickolas Dercks and Harry Baumann.

      A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, October 22, 2011 at 11:00 AM at St. Thomas More Catholic Church with Bishop Peter Christensen of Superior presiding and Rev. Gerald Falk Concelebrating. Visitation will take place Friday (Today) from 4 - 8 PM at the funeral home with a prayer service at 7:00 PM. There will also be visitation at church Saturday from 9:00 AM until the time of Mass. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Appleton.

      The family would like to thank everyone involved in Mom's care, especially Fr. Gerald Falk and the staff of Cherry Meadows.
