    • James I. Brown, 62, 714 E. McKinley street, died at 9:15 a.m. Wednesday in Appleton after a short illness.
      born April 2, 1879, in Kaukauna, Brown was a mailman in Appleton for 34 years. He retired Jan. 1, 1957.
      He was a World war I veteran, a member of the VFW, the Catholic Order of Foresters, and the Holy Name society of Sacred Heart Catholic church.
      Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heart CAtholic church with burial in St. Joseph cemetery.
      Friends may call at the Wichmann Funeral home from 2 p.m. Thursday until the time of service. The rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Friday. There will be a military service at the grage.
      Survivors include his widow, a brother, Leo, Neenah, and two sisters, Mrs. Theresa Amundson, West Allis, and Mrs. Peter Junk, Lena, Wis.
