- J.J. Dimmick, Sawmill Operator, Passes Away
Jaman Jay Dimmick, 86, resident of Roseburg and sawmill operator died at Mercy hospital, Roseburg, last night following a brief illness. He was born at Frost Hollow, Illinois, August 20, 1858, and was married to Mary Elizabeth Holcomb at Riversfall, Wisconsin, in 1882. He came to Oregon about 17 years ago and came to Douglas county from Molalla about seven years ago. Mr. Dimmick was a member of Philotarian lodge No. 8, I.O.O.F.
Surviving is a son, Carol C. Dimmick of Roseburg, and one granddaughter.
The body had been removed to the Douglas Furneral home and will be forwarded to Tacoma, Washington, for services and interment. Roseburg News Revien
