    • Jake Ryan Bunnell, age 16, of Stockbridge, died on Thursday, September 1, 2016 at Theda Care Hospital in Neenah. He was born June 19, 2000 in Appleton, son of Steven & Carrie (Baer) Bunnell.

Jake was currently enrolled at Chilton High School where he was also playing on the football team. If Jake wasn't watching sports or playing them, he could probably be found working out or lifting weights in order to improve his ability to perform on the field.

His true passion was the great outdoors where he could hunt and fish. He was an expert archer and loved to showcase his cooking skills by preparing and cooking his latest catch for dinner. If anyone could have survived in the wild, it would've been Jake.

Jake thought the world of his older brother and looked up to him daily. His selfless attitude and concern for others' will be greatly missed by those who loved him.

Survivors include his parents: Steve & Carrie; his maternal grandfather: Anthony Baer; paternal grandfather and step grandmother: Larry & Wendie Bunnell, Sr.; his brother: Hunter Bunnell; and his aunts & uncles: Brent Behling, Deb (Joe) Lewandowski, Randy Bunnell & his special friend, Kristen Johnson, Rick (Shannon) Bunnell, Larry (Lauri) Bunnell, Jr., & Sherry (Ken) Hintz. He is further survived by cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Jake was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother: Linda Baer, and his paternal grandmother and step grandfather: Mary Ann (Stilp) & Bill Link.

Funeral service will be at 7:30 pm on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at the Wieting Family Funeral Home (411 W. Main St.) in Chilton with the Rev. Dennis Ryan officiating. Burial will be in the Hillside Cemetery in Chilton. Friends may call at the funeral home from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Wednesday, September 7, 2016
