- Jacqueline M. Custer W5274 Faro Springs Rd. Hilbert, age 56, died Tuesday April 12, 1988 at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Appleton after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born March 13, 1932 in Hilbert, the daughter of James and Anastasia (Rolf) Demler Sr. She attended school in Chilton.
She was married October 5, 1950 at St. Marys Catholic Church in Chilton to Emil Custer. The couple resided most of their lives in the Stockbridge area where Mrs. Custer had worked for the Post Office in Stockbridge and Chilton for the past 27 years.
She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Sherwood and also a member of St. Marys Christian Mothers, Stockbridge.
Survivors are her husband, Emil, her mother, Mrs. James J. Demler, Chilton; three daughters and two sons-in-law; Mrs. Michael (Debra) Pitsch, Racine; Mrs. Donald (Kathryn) Gerhartz, Stockbridge; Jean Custer, Hilbert; two sons and one daughter-in-law; Steven and Nadine Custer, Brookfield; Richard Custer and his fiancé, Sandra Hoffman, Appleton; seven grandchildren; three sisters and two brothers-in-law; Mrs. Simon (Beverly) Schoenung, Chilton; Mrs. Paul (Martha) Little, Jackson, Michigan; Mrs. June Bostwick, Los Angeles, California; two brothers and sisters-in-law; James D. and Freia Demler, Chilton; Richard and Ann Demler, Stockbridge. She was preceded in death by her father and one brother.
Services were at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Sherwood with the Rev. Kenneth Frozena officiating. Spring burial will be in the parish cemetery.
