  • Notes
    • Jacob Dashner, 63, 320 Allard St., died Friday monring in a Green Bay hosptial of complications resulting from an accident at his summer cottage.

Mr. Dashner fractured both legs Aug. 7 in a mishap at Roberts Lake near Wabeno. Confined to a wheel chair for 36 years, Mr. Dashner had designed an electric power lift platform which would carry him in his wheel chair up and down a 25 foot slope at this boat dock to enable him to go fishing. Returning from fishing Aug. 7, he wheeled his chair onto the platform that would carry him up the incline. But as the platform motor started Mr. Dashner was off balance and the chair pitched forward and down the slope. He struck the concrete ramp of the pier and both legs were severly fractured.

Mr. Dashner was born May 24, 1897, in the town of Lawrence where he lived until moving to De Pere this spring. He served with Battery E, 121st Field Artillery during World War I and was a member of Heesaker-Brown post, American Legion. Survivors are his wife; two sons, Harvey and Perry of West De Pere.
