      Sunday, October 24, 1993
      Hugo C. Kielgas, Sherwood, age 91, died Friday, October 22, 1993 at Appleton Medical Center after an ectended illness. He was born April 29, 1902, the son of the late William and Emma [Mueller] Kielgas. He was married on November 4, 1929 at Wrightstown to Gertrude Schaeuble. The couple had been married for 63 years. He had been a lifelong resident of the Wrightsown and Sherwood areas, where he had farmed. He was a member of St. John Ev. Lutheran Church, Woodville, and was a member of the church choir.
      Survivors include his wife, Gertrude; two daughters and sons in-law, Elizabeth and Norman Welke of Watertown, Wisconsins; Carol and Richard Piepgras of Woodbury, Minnesota; two sons and a daughter in-law, David and Joan Kielgas of Green Bay and Donald Kielgas of Appleton; 20 grandchildren; Anne Mackey, Naomi Stein, Ellen Brown, Paul Welke, Joel Welke, John Welke, Timothy Welke, Nancy Ring, Andrew Welke, James Piepgras, Lois Miller, Linda Merwin, Karen Sonnenberg, Jack Piepgral, Jack Van Deurzen, Lea Ann Van Groll, Cheryl Gartzke, Kimberly Kielgas, Cyndi Bornemann and Jamey Kielgas; and 47 great grandchildren.
      He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, a great grandson and all of his brothers and sisters.
      Funeral services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Monday, October 25, 1993 at St. John Ev. Lutheran Church, Woodville, with Pastor Mark Neitzel officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of services at the church on Monday. Memorials are preferred to St. John's Church or a charity of your choice. Sansom Funeral Home, Hilbert, is assisting the family with arrangements.
