    • Neenah - Homer David Bishop "Bish", age 80, of Neenah, passed away on Friday, March 1st, 2019. He was born on December 6, 1938 in Appleton, son of the late Homer and Rose (Shierl) Bishop. Homer was very proud that he and his father had a combined 96 years of service at George Banta Co. Following his retirement in 2006, he was a shuttle drive for Dodge Country and a porter for Kolosso (Jeep/Dodge).

      His passion for cars went from competitive drag racing in his earlier days; (winning many trophies) to repairing/painting and meticulously maintenance of all his vehicles with great appreciation for all things automobile. Homer loved his dogs, from his first Mitzi to Jasper and all of those in between. He enjoyed visiting the animal shelters.

      Homer is survived by his wife Judy, his children: Christine Bishop (Kendall Baumann), David Bishop (Lydia Casso); his step-children: Kenneth (Brenda) Schuette and Sue (Rick) Standish; 3 grandsons, 2 step grandsons and 3 step granddaughters, 4 great-grandsons, 1 great-granddaughter, 7 step great-grandsons, and 5 step great-granddaughters, his sister-in-law, Carol Mitchell, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, Homer was preceded in death by a step great-grandson and a brother-in-law.

      Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 7th, 2019 at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, 900 Geiger St., Neenah with Fr. Larry Seidl officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers a memorial is being established.       The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Abouzelam, Dr. Enoh, and the entire cardiac and rehab departments. Because of their skill and dedication we were blessed with 6 additional years with Homer.
