- Hilary W. Hayek, age 82, of Tigerton, passed away on Wednesday, September 5, 2012. He was born in Laona on September 1, 1930, son the late Charles F. and Florence M. (Kamps) Hayek. After graduation from Laona High School in 1948, Hilary enlisted in the United States Marine Corp, where he served until 1973. Upon his retirement from the Marine Corp, Hilary moved to Tigerton where he became a Deacon with St. Anthony's Catholic Church for the last 25 years. He also enjoyed cutting wood and helping anyone he could, he was a very generous man.
Hilary is survived by a brother; Howard (Elaine), Tigerton and two sisters; Theresa (James) Wizner, Shawano, and Eileen Hayek, Green Bay. He is further survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Hilary was preceded in death by two brothers; Myron and Charles, and four sisters; Mary L. Hawks, Carol J. Kubiaczyk, Donna Bohne and Kathy Haynes.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Tigerton with Bishop Robert J. Banks celebrating and Fr. Patrick Lloyd concelebrating. Hilary will be laid to rest at Union Cemetery, Tigerton. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 pm on Monday, September 10, 2012 at the Beil-Didier Funeral Home, Tigerton. Visitation will continue on Tuesday from 10:00 am until the hour of Mass at the church.
