HERMAN K. HOPP, 78, DIES THIS MORNING
Stroke Causes Death of Aged Local Man; Funeral Rites Monday
Herman K. Hopp, 78, who came to Marshfield from Brillion 55 years ago, died at 12:45 a.m. today at St. Joseph's Hospital, where he was taken yesterday. He had suffered a stroke at his home on E. Fourth street and was found by neighbors.
Beginning Sunday noon the body will lie in state at the Rembs Funeral Home, where funeral rites will be held Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock, the Rev. John Brandt of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Hewitt, officiating. Interment will be made in Hillside cemetery.
Herman Karl Hopp was born in Germany July 15, 1868, and received his education in Brillion, Calumet County. His first was Bertha Whitting and his second Emma Budtke, both preceding him in death.
Two brothers survive, Fred, Eagle River, and William, route 5, Marshfield. Another brother, Ferdinand, and a sister, Alvina Wichman, are dead.
