    • Menasha-Herman Maas, 82, died at 3:45 this morning at his home at 321 Third street. He had been in poor health for several months and was confined to his bed for one week. He was born Oct. 30, 1857, at Pommer, Germany, and came to the United States with his parents when he was 11 years old. The family lived in the town of Oshkosh and Oshkosh for 4 years and for 40 years Mr. Maas was a resident of the town of Harrison. He came to Menasha 27 years ago and was employed as a janitor at the Bank of Menasha for 22 years, retiring in 1935.

      Survivors are one son, Henry Maas, town of Harrison, route 1, Menasha,

      and two brothers,
      Fred Maas, Kaukauna,
      and Albert Maas, Menasha.

      Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at Trinity Lutheran church with the Rev. Paul G. Bergmann, pastor in charge. The funeral cortege will form at 1:30 Wednesday afternoon at the Laemmrich Funeral home. Burial will be in Oak Hill cemetery. The body may be viewed after 7 o'clock this evening at the Laemmrich Funeral home.
