- Obit. Green Bay Press Gazette Herbert (Herb) Roebke, 78 Clay St. Wrightstown, died Saturday evening,. August 29, 1992 a t a Green Bay hospital. the son of the late Herman and Ida Schaeuble) Roebke was born Jan. 29 , 1914 in Wrightstown where he was a lifelong resident, Mr. Roebke and the former Alsa Gies e were married Dec. 24, 1937 in Green Bay. The couple would have celebrated their 55th wedd ing anniversary this year. Herb owned and operated Roebke Hardware and Furniture Store in Wrightstown all of his workin g life He was a lifelong member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church; Wrightstown. He wa s a former member of the Wrightstown Public School Board, and had been a member of the Wrigh tstown Volunteer Fire Department for many years. He was also a member of the Wisconsin Bird a nd Game Breeders Association, the Illinois Game and Pet Breeders Society, and a supporter o f Ducks Unlimited. He is survived by his wife Alma; two daughters, Joanne Roebke, at home; Sandy Roebke at Lomir a; one son, Bill Roebke, Green Bay; three grandchildren, Scott and his wife Darlene; Karmen a nd her fiance, Randy Lemke; Christopher, all of Wrightstown; three great grandchildren, Amand a Ryan, Kimberly; two sisters, Loretta Roebke, and Margaret Selig, both of Milwaukee; numerou s nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister Vera Huntington; one brother Wilbert Roebke. Friends may call at the Dewane-Boettcher-Cotter Funeral Home, Wrightstown, from 5 to 8 p.m. t oday. Friends may call after 10 a.m. Tuesday at the St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church Wrig htstown, until the time of service. Funeral services 11 a.m. with Rev. Carl Klein officiating . Burial in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established fo r the American Heart Fund.
